Rules

This is a Catch & Release Fishery. All Fish are put back, and not taken for eating.

WARNING, beware of 11KV Power Cables which are above part of the car park, and run over the road and alongside the Small Pit!

WARNING, Do not go over any fences, as these are all for your safety, they are to keep you off of the MOD land, which in this case is an active firing range. You may even see soldiers every now and then just on the other side of the fence!

Due to the terms set by the MOD, No Juniors can fish without the presence of anyone over the age of 18 classed as an adult. The Adult can not fish unless they have a ticket.

No Fishing in the river adjacent to Buckenham Pits, as this is a Private Trout Fishery, and you could be prosecuted.
No Bolt Rigs
No Livebait
Barbless hooks to be used only.
NO SURFACE FISHING, This means No to any type of bait that floats, whether real or artificial.
No Carp to be put in Keepnets.


PAYMENT

You must have a ticket before setting up, you can purchase the ticket at a number of places: The Filling Station Garage, just by the turning for Buckenham Pits, which is Ashburton Road. Jollies and The fishing shop in Thetford. Tickets can be checked within the time you are fishing, so dont take the risk of being banned for non payment!

DAMAGE, LOSS OR INJURY

The Owner takes no responsibility for any loss, or damage to Cars, Tackle or Persons at this Fishery. So be responsible, and do not take things for granted.

RUBBISH BINS

There are NO bins provided at Lynford Lake, SO PLEASE TAKE YOUR LITTER HOME.

If you don't follow these rules then you could be banned from this Fishery.

FISHING RODS

There is a Two Rods Maximum policy at this Fishery, This means 2 Rods, or 1 rod and 1 pole, Please stick to this rule!

VERY IMPORTANT

Anyone found leaving line on the bank will be banned as it is a danger to wildlife, causing serious injury or even death.

LANDING NETS

All landing nets must be submerged in the Lake before use, this will help to protect the fish, from scraping and losing scales on a dry net.

FISHING MATCHES

Matches are weekly at Lynford Lake, Buckenham Big Pit, and Buckenham Small Pit, on a rotary basis.

NOTICEBOARD

I will try to notify everyone by the Notice Board on this website, relating to any important information that I am given from the owner or bailiff, in relation to the status of the venue for any reason why it should close, eg: flooding, polution, maintenance, as this a fishery that likes to put safety first. This website is not responsible for no information, should I not be informed, however there may be a notice at the Fishery as a last resort.

STEALING

Anyone caught removing fish from this fishery will be "BANNED AND PROSECUTED" !
